Dr. Abiodun John Adewale is an Environmental and Atmospheric Scientist and Registered Engineer with over a decade of combined professional and research experience in environmental monitoring, air quality assessment, and social risk management. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering (Environmental Engineering) from Obafemi Awolowo University and is a Principal Consultant and Co-Founder at BOBI Environmental Consultancy. Over the years, he has served as a technical lead on more than 190 Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) projects across the energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
His expertise lies in applying advanced analytical tools such as AERMOD, ArcGIS, MATLAB, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to evaluate environmental risks and support sustainable development. He specializes in atmospheric dispersion modelling, particularly for emissions from aircraft, railway, and marine sources, as well as environmental auditing and regulatory compliance for large-scale industrial operations including oil and gas facilities and cement plants.
Dr. Adewale is also deeply involved in climate mitigation and decarbonization efforts, with strong competence in carbon footprint analysis, net-zero strategy development, and sustainable industrial transitions. In addition, he is at the forefront of environmental informatics, leveraging digital tools and automation to improve environmental reporting, data transparency, and institutional efficiency.
Beyond consultancy, he plays an active role in the global scientific community as a reviewer for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and the United Nations Environment Programme’s Global Environment Outlook (GEO). He is also an award-winning researcher, recognized with the 2024 International Research Award (Young Scientist Category), and serves as a Lecturer at Landmark University, where he teaches Environmental Engineering and bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications.
His portfolio includes high-impact projects such as atmospheric modelling for the 4th Mainland Bridge in Lagos, emissions assessment for the Dangote Oil Refinery, environmental impact studies for UNOPS projects in Northern Nigeria, and life cycle analysis for Lafarge Africa Plc. He has also contributed extensively to peer-reviewed journals in environmental science and sustainability, reinforcing his position as a leading expert in his field.
Adebobola Adenle is a Co-Founder and Environmental & ESG Specialist with over seven years of experience spanning industrial operations, environmental management, and sustainability advisory. He brings a strong combination of technical expertise and strategic insight, shaped by hands-on experience in complex operational environments and a deep commitment to sustainable development.
His professional background includes active involvement in refinery operations, with a focus on effluent treatment systems, process commissioning, and environmental compliance. Through this experience, Adebobola has developed a practical understanding of how environmental systems function within high-demand industrial settings, enabling him to design solutions that are both effective and implementable. His work is grounded in strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) principles, ensuring that operational efficiency aligns with regulatory and environmental standards.
In addition to his operational experience, Adebobola is an ESG Analyst and sustainability advocate, supporting organizations in aligning with global sustainability frameworks and improving their environmental and social performance. His approach emphasizes data-driven insights, responsible resource management, and long-term value creation.
